Preservation Designer

Though Tracy comes from a long line of Texans, she was raised overseas surrounded by the most famous historic buildings of Europe. She returned home to Austin to attend the University of Texas and never left. She has over 20 years of architectural experience, 13 years dedicated to historic preservation.

She has worn several hats at VOH since first hired in 1999, and functions as the right hand and project assistant to every principal. She is our quality-control person, with extensive experience documenting buildings, condition assessments, research, and historic finish analysis. She creates the most beautiful field sketches and hand-drawn documentation VOH has ever produced. She is the last generation professionally trained in classic manual drafting prior to the advent of CAD. She has blended the classic drafting technique with her CAD skills to create construction documents that retains the traditional drawing style in a modern format.

Tracy recently attended the Texas State Historic Tax Credit Workshop by the Texas Historical Commission. The new Texas Historic Preservation Tax Credit Program goes into effect on January 1, 2015 and is a robust new tax incentive for the rehabilitation of certified historic structures.
